Commercial Resin Bound Car Park in Knebworth, Hertfordshire

When a managed-property group needed to smarten up the parking and access areas at Park Lane Court in Knebworth, they came to RSS for a resin bound finish that would look sharp, stand up to constant vehicle use, and go down with minimal disruption.

The brief

Two separate areas of tired existing surface, in a communal setting where both appearance and safety matter. We quoted from photos and an on-site survey, and provided colour samples for sign-off before any work began.

What we did

Both areas were pressure-washed thoroughly to give a clean, sound base, then finished in resin bound using Daltex Steel Blue — a smart, contemporary grey-blue that suits a commercial setting and hides everyday marks well. Each area was completed in around a dry day, keeping disruption to residents and visitors to a minimum.

Why resin bound suits communal and commercial spaces

It's permeable, so surface water drains straight through the surface rather than pooling. It's seamless and free of loose stone — no trip hazards, and nothing to scatter across a shared car park. And it's hard-wearing and low-maintenance, which is a real advantage where a surface takes daily traffic and still needs to look presentable with minimal upkeep.
